Indolence explores a state of conscious abandonment, a prolonged pause where the will seems to dissolve.
The figure appears immersed in a dense stillness, between emotional exhaustion and a momentary renunciation of any external impulse. There is no visible conflict or dramatic gesture. Everything happens on an internal, silent plane, where time loses its clarity. The posture and expression suggest a gentle, almost protective disconnection, as if the body were allowing itself to stop responding.
The work proposes an ambiguous reading: indolence as a form of exhaustion, but also as a defense mechanism. An intermediate space where inaction is, perhaps, the only way to resist.
